There is more to charter fishing than just getting the line wet and bringing in the big catch of the day. Of course you don’t have to get carried away. A simple backpack and small ice chest should carry everything you need to bring with you. It is important to remember that there might be several other people on the boat with you (depending on the size of your fishing party) and space is limited, so you’ll need to pack accordingly.
What is Included:
· Guide
· Boat
· Rod/Reels
· LIVE bait
· Lots of fishing stories
Dress for weather. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a light rain coat, and insect repellent.
Summer, Early Fall, and Late Spring:
Dress to stay cool. Wear a hat, and protect yourself from the sun.
Fall, Winter, and Early Spring :
Dress for it to be colder than you think it might be. It’s always colder on the water (you can always take off coats, wind shirts, etc., but you can’t put them on if you don’t have them). Dress in layers and for the outer layer bring something that breaks the wind.
Bring a personal cooler to keep your beverages and snacks cool on the boat. If you plan to take your cleaned fish home, bring an extra cooler specifically for that purpose.
Bring a camera or carry a cell phone that produces quality images. Just remember water and electronics don't play together well, so stow them in a sealed plastic bag.
Required for all persons over the age of 16 years old. If you currently do not have a license, any sporting goods store is a good source, or they are available from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commision by calling (800)364-GAME.
Arkansas Law requires; All Children under the age of 12 must wear a life jacket while the boat is moving. Ragin' Cajun Adventures has all the required Life Jackets onboard we will need including for the kids. But if you already have life jackets for the kids that fit just perfectly, bring them.
